Out of everything people want the most in life, the main ones come down to three things: fame, money or love.
I myself want lasting love in my life. I am a hopeless romantic. I want that passion and unconditional love and in 50 years, I want to sleep happily with the love of my life by my side.
Sure, I want money, preferably lots of it, but if all I had was my lover and a camera to capture all our sweet moments, I think I would choose that over money anyday.
But yet I am also a pessimist. I want this so bad but I’m not as delusional as many people would insist, and I am aware that this is nearly impossible. How can people stand each other for so long? One of them is doomed to be unfaithful, right? Perhaps my thoughts were influenced by the unhappy marriages I have witnessed within my family. In fact, these depressing predictions probably contribute to 70% of my daily thoughts.
What saddens me the most is that the person you may be with, whom you love and care about more than yourself could eventually be nothing to you. And all those moments and memories you wrote down or captured on a camera to which you hold on to and cherish, will also be nothing.
But (thank heavens there’s a ‘but’), every now and then my beliefs are challenged, like today. I have probably spent a total of two hours on trains today as I tend to be on and while I pass the time, I people-watch. I try to guess what their secret lives are like to which I would never know. I even use the reflections of the windows so that it’s a little less noticeable. Anywho, today I watched two elderly couples on separate trains actually looking like they love each other with the man’s arm draped around the woman’s shoulders or the other couple and how they were whispering to each other and smiling on the chair in front of me. Of course, I immediately check for rings and wallah. A combination of hope and ‘awe’ rush through me and my dreams are restored... at least for a little while.

This dress was a gift, or even a hand-me-down dress given from a relative. I immediately fell in love with it due to its vintage appeal and the fact that it resembled a dress from one of my favourite movies, Pretty Woman.
The dress came with a matching belt in the same pattern and fabric but instead I used a silk belt that I had purchased from Supre in year eight, but however I don’t recommend the store, although they are good for the basics. Unfortunately the dress was from Ireland from a brand I had never heard of, so any other items similar will be impossible for me to get *sad face*.
I'm wearing straw wedges that I absolutely love and wear all the time (which is why they appear so worn out), which were from Betts and scored for about $20.00. They have a real hippy-like feel and so they will go perfect with my outfit that I plan on wearing to a Hippy Themed party coming up. They’re also perfect for summer.
In case you couldn’t already tell, I am not much of a photographer but I was really proud of those light specs and rays that snuck in a shot :)
May I just start with the absolutely awesome fact that I now have internet! Woo. The internet tends to disappear rather quickly within this household due to a certain someone, not going to name names, who abuses the internet for online x-box and anime games. Thanks a lot, man.
I can say that I've actually missed writing on my blog, and sharing my probably very boring thoughts with the cyber universe. Secondly, I graduated and my WACE exams are finished so I can safely say, I AM DONE WITH SCHOOL. Hallelujah, raise the roof, drop it likes it’s hot, booya.
I am not sure where I am actually going to go with my life as of now, but I hope to work, get some money and really work on my blog. I had to put this hobby on hold for a while due to school commitments but it gives me so much pleasure that I can actually dedicate a lot of my time to this, and this shall become a big commitment. Don’t be fooled by my rants lately; this is still a fashion blog but also a semi (or very) personal one too.
I thought I’d share a few images of how I have spent the beginning of my freedom, which is under the sun. I could not wait for summer any longer and did not hesitate to hit the beach and get my tan on. What was even better about that day was the fact that the beach was quiet as most people were either at work or school, and I was neither. It was perfect.
I was wearing some funky vintage sunglasses that my best friend scored for two dollars from the markets and so kindly lent me. The other photos were taken right before I basically face planted the watermelon. Mmm, watermelon.
Note to self: hit the markets
